I Really Like This Case!Jun 04, 2010
By Mike Trojanowski I like the light brown color (red and black are also offered) and the matching elastic strap is a nice accent. The leather-like material (for the price, getting genuine leather is not being realistic) feels soft and fairly thick that provides added protection for your iPad. However, two of the sides and 2 corners are rather exposed when the case is snapped shut so if you air travel or constantly carry the case with you, you may want to put it in a bag for added protection.
I especially like the display's openness in viewing mode compared to 2 other cases I tried out that had the iPad bezel covered on all 4 sides compared to only one side covered with this case. Two taut straps help secure the other 3 sides providing easy access to ALL buttons and the charging connector.
The built-in stand is a pleasure to use in a range of 4 tilting positions that are clearly marked with notches placed conveniently IN FRONT OF the display rather than awkwardly behind it. Also there are no magnets in the case at all so there is no need to worry about any GPS or compass interference if you have the 3G iPad.
Overall, I'm very pleased.

When I purchased my iPad at the Apple store, they were out of stock of the $40 Apple iPad cover. In hindsight, this was a stroke of luck because the DMS leather folder is a much better product at a much better price. While I'm not entirely sure what kind of "leather" this is, it is nonetheless well made and very functional. For starts, it's padded and actually provides some protection for the $500+ iPad (inlike the Apple cover). Next, the clever way it folds makes it truly useful as a stand. I now prop it up in front of me to read USA Today while eating breakfast every morning. Lastly, it's actually pretty good looking! The iPad is held very securely and is fully accessible -- no issues here. If you're looking for a good quality, functional iPad cover, this is the one. 2 friends at work saw mine and immediately chucked their Apple covers to buy one of these. Hope this helps!

By M. Williams I bought this case after reading a lot of reviews. I had the case that Apple sells. I was looking for something that looked a bit nicer that I could use on a vacation trip, that would give the iPad good protection. This case does a good job of this. I received a lot of compliments on the case. I like the elastic band on the outside of the case. I feel that for the money, this is a great case. All the controls are easily accessible, and the speaker is not blocked like in Apple case does. I find I use the iPad in Landscape mode more now than I did before. In landscape, the case sits in my lap, as I sit in my recliner, and watch TV. It is very steady sitting this way, and I can type with both hands. The imitation leather, is really soft plastic. I figured for the price, I would not get real leather. This is a nice case. If you want real leather, don't waste your time or money, but if you want a solid case, that performs, give this one a try.

By M. Cantrell I've tried several different kinds of cases for my ipad -- Apple case, incipio feather, and others. This one is the very best. It allows for multiple angles of viewing; it sits in your lap or on a table very well. It's well made (many people think it's leather), looks good, and protects the ipad very well. It's a sharp item.
The only thing I can imagine being an issue is the elastic bands that hold the corners; they will probably stretch out over time, so I'm already thinking how to work on that issue.
Great product, good price. Worth every penny. I'm very glad I bought it.

Great Product, Few Recommended changesJul 23, 2010
By David R. Lenz This product arrived to me, exactly as described, and on-time. It looks great, and it works great. I've gotten many comments on it, all positive, about how nice it makes my iPad look.
That said, it is still fake leather, so it does get damaged and scuffed pretty easily. And i'm not sure why it was designed the way It was. It seems to be backwards. When you hold it like a book, looking at the front cover, and open it, you would think the iPad would be on the back side of the back cover, with the iPad facing you. Instead, it is on the backside of the front cover with the iPad upside down, so it takes a little getting used to. This is a small gripe when you think about the value of this thing, and how good it looks.
BTW, I haven't tried the headrest strap, because I haven't needed it, but I get the impression that the elastic in the band is somewhat cheap, and would easily get stretched out, but take that with a grain of salt, because, like I said, I haven't used it.
