Simply the best case available for the Galaxy S3 at any price.Jul 15, 2012
By rayng5 Many times, choosing a case for your smartphone is a matter of personal preference. And this is the best case for the Samsung Galaxy that I've seen period at any price point. Don't go with the more expensive and more bulky Otterbox cases and don't go with the cheap, flimsy silicone cases.
Pros: --> Fits like a glove with all the buttons, ports, and camera holes lined up perfectly for easy access. --> It adds just enough (but not too much) bulk to the phone that it makes it more comfortable to hold in my hand. This is one of those things that is up to the individual user, but the phone without a case or a thin, flimsy case seems to want to slip off my hand because it is so thin. --> The back of the case has a matte finish that leaves no fingerprint residue and is easy to slip in and out my pants pocket without sticking to the inner lining (like many of the silicone cases tend to do). --> The case covers the volume and power buttons and extends it out to make it easier to press, unlike those cases that just have a cut-out for the buttons and you have to dig your finger into the case to reach the buttons.
Cons: --> I had to search real hard to find a con with this case and the only thing I could think of is that the silicone portion of the case (the inner case of the two pieces) attracts lint/dust especially when it's inside my pocket. But this is a very minor drawback and probably not even worth mentioning.
In short, just get this case. You won't be disappointed. Don't try to save a few bucks with those cheaply made cases and don't spend $30-40 on Otterbox and other so-called name-brand cases.

Very Comparable to Case-Mate Tough CaseJul 04, 2012
By D. Miller I ordered this because it was PRIME eligible at the time and I needed something ASAP for my Galaxy S3; I didn't expect too much based on the price. I had a Tough Case on my iPhone 4 prior to this and really like it. The otterbox is too big for me, and I really like the rubber inner with plastic outer cover. I think that provides the most shock absorption.
This case is a quality product. The rubber fits snug and tight and the plastic snaps on perfectly. It doesn't add too much bulk and has a nice clean look to it. Access to all the ports is good, with plenty of room. I like the large opening on the back for camera and speaker...which means the flash or sound won't be affected at all. The only real difference between the case-mate version at the a-case is that the back on this one is very smooth, as opposed to the Tough Case which has a textured back. The phone itself is incredibly smooth and slippery, but eventhough this is smooth is as well, it still provides some good grip. Face up it'll slide on a table, but face down the rubber bezel will grab keep it in place.
I also like the idents at the top and bottom for the front speaker and home button (especially the home button). I tried the Ballistic case from AT&T ($50!) and the bottom bezel was so bulky it was a pain to hit the home button. I noticed on picture of the GS3 Tough Case, it does NOT have an indent and may cause the same problem.
Other than all that the price is awesome. I wish I could find a black/white version...maybe eventually. I also ordered a Case-Mate POP case...but may end up sending that back since I'm so impressed with this one.
EDIT: Just noticed Amazon is now carrying several colors....and at this price I can afford to get the white one without dropping another $35-$50
UPDATE: 11.17.12 - Still using this case 24/7. It's held up to almost like-new conditions; only a little wear on the front edge of plastic from keeping it face down sometimes. Dropped my phone several times and seems to offer good protection, as much as it physically can for a case of this type. Would still recommend and purchase again.

Decent Case, but slipperyAug 28, 2012
By Paul Cleary I was looking for a case that is more protective than a standard TPU case, but not as bulky as an Otterbox type super case. This case fits nicely with what I was looking for.
It does add quite a bit of bulk to the Galaxy S3, and makes it a little heavier. Do not be fooled into thinking that this is a "slim" type case, it is definitely not.
The case was simple to slip on, it has an inner rubber sleeve and a hard plastic shell that goes on top. When both are on, I definitely feel like this has a nice amount of protection on it.
My only concern with this case is that it is *slippery*. I had my phone for about a week before getting this case, and I was able to easily grip the phone. I would rather have something with more grip that was a little harder to get out of my pocket. Suffice it to say, I will definitely be getting another case.
If you are looking for a case that adds more protection without all the bulk, then this case might fit your bill. Just be warned that it does make the phone more difficult to hold, as it is pretty slippery.

By Dr. Bojan Tunguz I've used several different smartphone cases over the years, and this one is definitely one of the sturdiest and most impact resistant that I've come across. It has a very innovative design - it's essentially two cases, snuggly wrapped around each other. The "inner" case is a rubberized silicone sleeve that looks like a swimming bodysuit. It's very easy to put on your Galaxy S3 smartphone. The outer case is hard polycarbonate case that's a bit trickier to put, but otherwise very well built and it gives you the sense of sturdiness and protection. This dual layer approach to smartphone casing is meant to give an increased impact-resistance, and a much more protective case than most single-layer cases. If you are clumsy with your smartphone, then you should definitely check out this particular case.
The case is fingerprint-proof and scratch-resistant, and it has all the appropriate openings for the headphones, camera, and the charging dock. The volume control is covered with the rubbery case, and it somewhat diminishes the sensitivity of those buttons. The texture of the case feels really good in your hand and it provides you with a solid and comfortable grip.
Overall, this is a very nice looking and well-designed product that will give your Galaxy S3 smartphone additional protection, and provide you with a peace of mind while using it in all sorts of situations.
