By Nicole This is such a classic looking case, subtle and tasteful like a leather bound book or folio case. It really adds something pleasing and tactile to the kindle experience. Fits the DX perfectly. Love the way you can use it like an easel to read while eating. The strap is also really classy looking. Throw away the LED light and buy another.

By Tsiny I like this case for its design. Appealing look, and great functionality. But my problem with it is that it adds too much bulk and weight, I wouldn't like to carry it with my kindle when I'm reading. Moreover, I agree with a previous review that this is NOT Leather. It does not feel like, nor smell like leather to me.

By student I agree with the others. This is an excellent case.
My only two issues with it are that it is slight weighty (which is to be expected from a solidly built leather case), and that it is leather. If there were some similar options out there with differing materials, I would be a happy camper.

Great Kindle DX CoverFeb 18, 2011
By Allypad I was looking for a cover for my Kindle DX that would also act as a stand. There are not many of these to be found and they are quite expensive when you do find them. I saw this item and thought I would give it a try since it was around $35. I received it today and I must say that I am VERY pleased with it! It is exactly what I was looking for. If you are on the fence about this product, don't hesitate - it's great! It looks great, feels great, and is very functional and protective. I give it 5 stars!! As far as the light goes, it is a cheap light, but I wanted a good case - the light was a bonus for me.
As far as the other reviewer says about it not being real leather - it looks like leather to me - so I am very happy with it!

A good caseMay 12, 2011
By sideliner I purchased this cover with my DX about 3 weeks ago. I like the feel and heft of this cover. It feels substantial and seems to be made of quality leather. I gives the DX good protection from damage to the screen. Unlike some reviewers, I did not notice any unpleasant smell or odor. It does not have that "new leather shoe" smell but I did not expect it would. Also mentioned was the somewhat wimpy but cleverly made light. I would recommend replacing it with the Mighty Bright light. I have the one that is battery and AC powered. Being able to plug it in when at home is great as the batteries never last more than a couple of weeks if you read every night as I do. It is easy to attach to the cover after you have folded the cover to the back of the DX and fastened with the velcro strap. There are no instructions with it but the pictures on the Amazon page show you that the top of the DX goes under the leather corners.
