Great looking/functional coverJan 23, 2010
By Eraweb After reading the previous post I have to say that the cover is not flush to the screen so if dropped there is a very slight amount of cover above the screen.Although I could only hope the phone if dropped fell directly flat to share the shock of the phone across the phone and not say a single corner. Ok,the feel of this phone is almost silken and feels great held. The speaker area is open but again to the previous post I do not feel rough edges at all and I like the open section for texting. I had replaced an ifrogz case with this one and the ifrogz had a "bar" above the speaker port area and I had been used to it but enjoy the open feel better of this case. I'm certainly not going to test its durability so wont comment on it.

First off this product is what it is: a phone cover. That in mind here are a few things that aren't really described above that you may want to know.
1) The edges come up just to the side of the phone, there's no wrap around to the top of the screen, essentially leaving the face of the phone flat. 2) There are some rough edges on the cover around the speaker, where they have left the bottom mostly open to the charging and speakers. So if you're holding it upright like say to text, it can be uncomfortable if you rest a finger across the bottom
3) The cover doesn't look like it could sustain a large drop, and certainly not any pressure to the face of the phone.
The positive to this cover is that it looks great, and also feels great (aside from the rough edges). It will keep the back from getting scratched and protect it from minor drops.

By k martin I love this phone case, and I've had it for about a month now. It snaps right on and fits it like a glove, and I love the smooth, velvety feel. It's slim, low-profile (I barely notice it), it fits in my iHome, my purse...it even tucks into my zippered wallet!
The openings for easy access to all the buttons on the sides, top and bottom is nice, too. The opening at the bottom is noticeable against my fingers when texting, but not enough to make me choose a different case. (But I'm an adult so I don't text non-stop - a teen might develop callouses, lol!)
Now, I wouldn't let an otter chew on it or run over it with my car, but for my general lifestyle, its great. If I have any problems, I'll come back here and update this review, but so far, I think this case is just great and I would definitely buy it again.

By windracer The cases I've been purchasing for my iPhone 3GS have been getting smaller and smaller as I've owned it. When it was brand new, I started with the Otterbox Impact series because I wanted to protect it from drops and scratches. It definitely kept the iPhone well protected, but it was a pain to get out of my pocket since it was soft rubber and would stick. Then I had a hard plastic wrap-around case I picked up at the Apple store which was nice because it slid out of my pocket smoothly, but some of the overlays for the power and volume buttons were stiff and hard to use.
I picked up this slim case for 50% along with some screen protectors through an Amazon deal. The case snaps on securely and leaves all of the buttons uncovered for easy access. It fits easily into my Belkin TuneBase FM in the car. I'm not sure how well it would protect the phone from a drop onto concrete but I've hardly dropped my phone since the Otterbox days so I'm not too concerned about it anymore. I am very happy with this case for the price.
