I bought a soft quilted Vera Bradley case for my Kindle Fire, fits in my purse fine. My husb. then bought me this slim case which I keep on my Fire at all times and I love it! No scratching and easy to quickly cover the screen, easy to read screen with it on. I haven't taken it off since I got it. It still fits fine in my quilted case to throw in my purse or under the seat of my car with no worries. Love it! Doesn't feel cheap to me.

I ordered several cases to do a comparison. I also looked at the caseen SKINNY Multi Angle Soft Snap Case Cove, the Arkon Portable Fold-Up Stand, and splash SIGNATURE Folio Leather Case, Ctech 360 Degrees Rotating Stand.

The Acase as a plastic back with a leather flap cover. The plastic has a cheap feel to it and the leather isn't much better. The hand-strap can be flipped around to hold the case closed. Supposedly the cover will fold and prop the Kindle up (the "built-in Stand" bit). But it really doesn't work well and is terribly unstable.

The only real positive of this case is that it is very think when closed up, thinner of the bunch I looked at. But the feel is really cheap. If you want a thin case, try the caseen SKINNY Multi Angle Soft Snap Case Cove.

I love the slimming look, but the top part of the case leaves behind lint on the screen and it give off a bit of an odor. I guess that's what cheap leather smells like. When you open the top part it doesnt fold back perfectly and you're left with an annoying bulge. The back part of the case is made with hard plastic. I'm afraid if i drop my kindle the case would break/crack. The stand doesn't really work, its just their for show. I'm not pleased with this product.
