Light protection but looks fabulousSep 10, 2010

- The metallic colour is beautiful without being super glossy/reflective or cheap-looking. (I actually chose it over the very similar Splash Zero because I wanted a metallic colour, not matte.) It's in between the look of shiny metal and flat paint, and just looks fantastic.
- The feel of the case is INCREDIBLE. It's so soft, I'm not even sure I can describe the texture. It provides you with grip without the sticky or rubbery feel of silicone cases, and slides in and out of purses/pockets easily.
- It will not show a single fingerprint or collect dust.
- The camera hole is large enough to avoid interfering with the flash.
- Since the bottom is completely open, it fits perfectly on my iCrado dock. I imagine it would fit on pretty much any style dock.
- It doesn't diminish the aesthetics of the phone design at all. It's as close as you can currently get to actually having the phone itself be coloured.
- It doesn't have a stupid cut-out in the back to "show off" the apple logo and collect dust and grime. Seriously, I hate those. If you really want the apple to show, either get a clear case or stick a decal on it (they're very easy to find).
CONS:
- The colour, while very pretty, isn't as purple as it seems in the photo. I mean, it's called pink, so it's partly my fault, but. It actually looks more like the pink in the first photo of the edge of the phone lying down. It almost looks like the "flamingo" red but a bit cooler. It's pretty, but not as fuchsia/magenta as I expected.
- While it does come with two screen covers, they're the pretty generic ones that come with most cases - that is, tricky to apply without getting any dust between them and the screen (and thus creating a permanent and annoying bubble). They are pretty clear, but REALLY prone to fingerprints.
- The volume and power/sleep buttons are a little harder to push since they're slightly recessed (the case leaves them open). You adjust fairly quickly, but I imagine the volume buttons in particular could be awkward for someone with big fingers. The silence toggle is the same for me since I usually use my nail to slide it anyway, but it could be a bit annoying otherwise.
TRADE-OFFS:
- This case does NOT have a "lip" on it that extends past the screen. Which means your glass is going to be flat on the table if you put the phone down face-down. So there's pretty much no protection for the front. On the other hand, one of the things I loved when I first got the phone was the way I could slide my finger over the edge when turning pages and such (unlike the 3GS), and then putting on a case with a lip felt clunky and like it was getting in the way. So it's a pleasing feel, but at the cost of reduced protection. (I'm a little worried about scratches/dings along that exposed edge.)
- It pretty much only protects the top, sides and back against scratches and the like. I don't think it would offer much shock absorbency if you were to drop the phone. On the other hand, it's super slim and sleek and looks awesome, and adds zero bulk to the phone.
Overall, if you're basically looking for some eye candy that will protect against scratches, this one is very attractive and is safer than leaving the phone naked. If you're rough with your phone or concerned about dropping it, I'd pick something else. I'm pretty pleased with it, but I'm also exceedingly careful with my electronics, so I'd rather have something sleek than something big and bulky.

Negligible protection to phoneNov 07, 2010
By James R. Spitznas My wife got this case because she liked the pink color and the case was not too thick. It turns out that the case is too minimalisitc to provide much in the way of protection as the case does not cover the bottom area of the phone, and the case is not high enough to reach the top glass surface of the phone. Unfortunately these shortcomings were painfully realized today when the phone fell out of my wife's purse and the bottom edge of the phone hit the ground and the glass at the bottom edge of the phone chipped and left a diagonal crack in the phone's screen. If the case had protected the bottom as well as wrapped around the edges of the phone as most cases do, I feel the phone would not have been damaged. It is also worth noting that the case itself ended up dented and with some of the pink color scratched off. Thus, if you would like a pretty pink skin on your phone this case may work OK for you. If, however, you are looking for some degree of protection against accidental drops, I'd strongly recommend that you look elsewhere.

The ~PERFECT~ case for meJul 29, 2011
By Elena Johnston Okay I've been searching for the perfect iPhone case for a while now and I've just found it. This case is thin while hugging the phone perfectly, it's got that velvety smooth finish that ensures my phone won't slip out of my hands, the color is awesome, cutouts for the buttons and camera are precise and feel high end, and the price was unreal at only $9.99. I can see why some reviewers might have given it a lower rating because it won't protect as much as other cases on the market. But it does exactly what it's supposed to. Help prevent you from dropping the phone while looking spectacular. For those of you that are worried about minor scratches, etc on the glass. Go to the Apple Store. It's only $30 to replace the entire glass casing.

I love this case! It's super thin, beautiful color, and has a great feel, not too shiny/glossy but not too rubbery, has a velvety feeling almost, like a rose petal. It says it doesn't leave fingerprints but it does show smudges somewhat, but it doesn't really bother me and they do come off easily. Would suggest not touching it after eating greasy food. The color is a deep dark hot pink, it's on the cooler side or has a hint of purple. Color does change a little depending on the lighting around you, I actually like that. All of the holes are cut out for things like headphones, camera, volume, ect. The bottom is mostly exposed to fit the charger and maybe docking it on something, not 100% sure on that since I only use the cord to charge my phone. The edge of the case covers the metal border of the iphone right up to the glass screen. The screen does stand out a touch more so the case doesn't protect it when the phone is facing down on something. Also the case won't protect against a high drop. The cutout for the camera does not add a glare or pink color to photos which I'm really happy about. It's mostly for looks, protection against scratches and placing in your pocket. I use an additional case, leather style with wallet slots, when I'm running around and it fits nicely in it with the Acase on it. So far it's held up and I use it every day. I usually put it in my back pocket and have sat on it a few times, but still in great condition. I also wear rings on both hands and they don't seem to scratch the case. I've always loved how slim my iphone feels without a case and this case helps keep that feeling, not bulky at all. Great to use alone or with an additional wallet/belt style case. It's so slim I've had people ask me if I had my iphone 4 custom ordered in pink.

I got this one for my clutsy girlfriend. I really like all the cases I have gotten by Acase. They are not very protective, but they are stylish, and that is what purpose they serve. If you are looking for protection get an otterbox. If you want style in various colors get these. The only gripe I have is that on one of my cases the color chipped a little, but that is just cause I scraped it on something. As long as you treat your phone nicely - which you should cause it a friggin Iphone4! then you should be ok with these cases. Oh one more thing, they come with two screen protectors, and I really like the screen protectors. By the way my clutsy girlfriends phone is ok, I took this case back after she dropped it once on the carpet. I made her get a more protective case. lol Bottom line: Do NOT buy this if you are like my GF. If you take care of your phone, and baby it like I do mine, then this case is ok for you.
