Okay caseDec 02, 2010
By Michelle I've had this case for about three weeks now
Pros: -Great feel to the material. It's a hard plastic with an almost silicon feel to it. A little bit of grip but still slides easily in and out of pockets -Fits iPhone perfectly -Not bulky, very sleek -Looked great. When it was new...
Cons: -Shows wear REALLY quickly. Paint is starting to rub off, scratches easily, and already looks dirty. -Included screen protector isn't great. Dirt is starting to get under the adhesive and fingerprints clearly show up. -Dirt gets in-between the case and the phone
Bottom line: I would spend a few extra bucks and get a case of better quality or try one that doesn't have a coat of paint. Will work if you are just looking for something cheap that (unattractively) gets the job done

Excellent CaseJun 25, 2011
By MrSwing It's hilarious that there are about 9 million cases out there.
All of them are either an ounce of plastic or an ounce of rubber or a combination of the two.
Most retail for around twenty bucks or more. What?
This case fits very snug, looks awesomely minimalist and protects the phone from reasonable wear ( honestly, unless you're encasing the thing in 2 inches of solid rubber nothing is going to save your iphone from 'broken screen syndrome' after a drop).
This is great. Most importantly, it LOOKS like an iphone after you snap it into place - not a iphone wearing a muffler, scarf and a down coat.

Minimalist. Stylish. Unlike every other caseSep 02, 2010

9/27/2011 update: I ordered a new one a few months back, and it seems that Acase has redesigned their cases so that they are more universally compatible with Verizon phones. Unfortunately, in my opinion, the change absolutely detracts from the aesthetics, as well as the "feel/functionality." One of the things that made it special is now gone.
In the photo you can see, on the side of the case, that there are separate openings for the silencer switch and the volume buttons. Awesome! But...that's no longer the case. Bummer. Now there's just one massive, wide open, fully cut out space that looks just like all the other cases out there. Instead of a nice, sleek look and feel, there's now a big 'gap' along the front-facing edge of the case, instead of the edge being complete and going all the way around. Looks and feels less designed, less fitted, and WAY cheaper and crappier. Really bummed. Why'd you have to mess it up, Acase?? Update your product photos so that people know what they're getting!
Original review: Let me start out by saying that as a rule I don't like the idea of cases on phones. Regardless of whatever protection they may provide, they add bulk, and they diminish the style of the phone. I am okay with the idea that my phone will look more and more worn over the course of the 2 years or so I have it.
Having said that, a case is more or less REQUIRED on the iPhone 4 to overcome the antenna issues. I ordered the official Apple bumper through the free case program, and was woefully disappointed in how it detracted from both the look and feel of my phone. Therefore, I set out to find the case that would diminish the aesthetics and the way the phone feels in my hand the very least.
I eventually arrived at the Superleggera case from Acase (silver). I must say that, after seeing so much crap on the market, I am extremely pleased. With my phone (in the case) sitting on my desk, you would be hard-pressed to tell in glancing at it from a distance that it has a case on it at all. The photo on the Amazon.com product page demonstrates this. As of right now, no other case comes nearly as close. Looking at it straight on, there is a thin aluminum strip around the outside, slightly thicker than you would notice with no case. Again, it's a *subtle* change relative to having no case on, which is what I wanted, and which is totally acceptable to me.
I think my phone looks pretty great in the case, which surprises me. Because I hate cases.
A few other comments/observations: 1. As you might expect, the case offers little protection. However, I don't really care about protection - I'm only interested in a solution to the antenna problem, with as little diminished aesthetic impact as possible.
2. The case is not quite flush with the front of the phone - it's a touch lower. I LOVE that it's not raised above the front surface. I HATED that about the Apple bumper (that and how it protruded out from the back). Less protection, but it FEELS GREAT. Completely worthy trade-off to me.
3. If you look closely, a fraction of the way down the side from the top edge, there's a somewhat imprecise (mold?) line running all the way around the case, a result of the manufacturing process I'm guessing, which does cheapen the look a bit. A more precise line, or no line, would step up the aesthetics another notch, and I wouldn't be surprised if some cases made it through manufacturing more 'perfect' than others. A very minor gripe to me.
4. The case is not terribly grippy, but it's absolutely more grippy than no case, and I can now rest my phone on inclined surfaces without it slowly slipping off. Slips in and out of a pocket with ease. Awesome.
5. My phone in the case fits fine in my Belkin car dock. This was not so with the Apple bumper.
6. The case is rigid, but is somewhat bendy. Fits the iPhone 4 like a glove. It's unbelievably thin.
Minimal bulk, and it still feels like I'm holding an iPhone 4. To me, it was well worth the $$$. Despite being in a case, my iPhone 4 now has silver sides again, the way Apple designers intended. And, yes, it's now silver on the back as well, which I'm okay with. I purchased a mirrored Apple sticker, the same size as the mirrored Apple logo on the back of the iPhone, and placed it on the back of the case where the logo should be. Breaks up the otherwise big empty space on the back, and it looks even better.
Well done, Acase!

Great caseJun 15, 2011
By D. Parker This case absolutely fits my iPhone 4 like a glove. I bought it to protect my phone from scratches and it does the job without making the phone feel bulky or awkward. It also fits in my speaker dock perfectly. I didn't have any trouble with the plastic screen cover - really, you can't even tell that the phone is in a case. Several people have told me I really need to get a case for my phone and then chuckle when I tell them there's already one on it. I am about to buy a spare just to keep on hand.

I am not sure of the why people are giving lower ratings for this product, but think this is a good product, if not a great product. The case is the thinnest I have seen for the iPhone 4 and I does fit it well. The phone fits in my iphone belt holder well with this case on and it fits well on iPhone docking players without the need to remove the case. I am not sure it will prevent it from breaking should one drop it cause I have not dropped mine yet (touch wood). Even though it is meant for the AT&T phone, I got it for my Verizon iPhone. The mute button is not exactly aligned with the opening, but still provides sufficient access that one can use the button. The screen protector that came with it works just fine and people who complain I would guess cannot just figure out how to use it. I am happy with the cover so far and think it is a good product for the price.
