Nof fast for full HD video in AVCHD.Sep 25, 2009

I was nicely suprised that my memory was Class 6, instead of advertised Class 4. This means perhaps nothing, since either minimum guaranteed speed 6 Mbit/sec for Class 6, or 4 Mbit/sec is not fast enough for HD Video.
The MPEG-4 AVCHD requires 24 Mbps for UXP recording mode, and 17 Mbps for XP recording mode, while this memory is at best 15 Mbps. You must use SP mode at 12 Mbps, or EP mode at 5 Mbps with this memoory and HD camcorder, or use standard DVD camcorder.
Meaning of "VIDEO" changes quickly and Amazon should provide Mbits/sec rating instead of misleading VIDEO that does not guarantee speed for latest AVCHD video modes.

I use this card in my Canon point and shoot. This card is very fast and results in very good HD video. I have had no problems with this card in the 2 years I have owned it. I reccommend it to anyone looking for a reliable and reasonable SD card.

Nice Card....fast and good for HD Video recording. I use a Poloroid HD Camcorder (a really cheap one)...and this card has enhanced the output of the videos! Works for me!
