By R. Reese I bought this Item to use with my PsP. It is true the PsP will not format the cards in this adapter however you can use your PC to format the cards.(I have tried with a 8gb and 2gb micro SD card). Just Copy and paste your folders on to the card. Your PsP will now read it. Put all your Pictures, saves and movies, etc and enjoy.
NOTE: you need a way for your PC to read Memory Card DUO's like a multi card reader to make this work.

By Kristen Davidson I bought this to use with my Sony Cybershot T30. I'll admit I was scared from some of the reviews, but bought it anyway. It arrived in "bulk packaging," meaning the small plastic case the adapter comes in, inside a huge bubble wrap envelope (no box or cardboard backing included). I put my 4GB microSD card inside the adapter, put the adapter in the camera, and my camera turned on and recognized the newly upgraded GBs! This adapter works properly and securely. I frequently take out the microSD card out of the adapter (to put it into my comp) and put it back in. The adapter is durable. This bulk packaging adapter (and microSD card) has saved tons over expensive memory stick pro duo cards. I've had no issues. I highly recommend it.

This is a great product to get if you have micro SD cards and own a sony product. The adaptor works well with my Sony H7 Camera. It gives me more uses out of my micro SD cards. It even works with micro SDHC cards. I've tried and it works with 2, 4 and 8GB micro SD cards.

Lately I've been using my PSP as a media player on long trips as it has a much nicer screen than my iPhone IMHO. One problem however is the cost/storage ratio for Sony memory sticks is high, and I was looking for an alternative. MicroSD cards are super cheap, so the idea of a MicroSD -> Memory Stick Duo adapter was appealing. Bottom line, this works like a charm and is an excellent way to get fast and cheap high capacity storage units for your PSP. I have a Sandisk 8GB memory stick duo and see no difference between that unit and a MicroSD card in this adapter. I also had no troubles formatting the MicroSD card (Transcend 8GB) in the PSP. I can't comment on the longevity of this adapter, and the build is cheap (as to be expected given the price!), but with proper care I expect it to last.

Bought it for the PSPFeb 01, 2011
By E. Franchuk I happen to have a spare MicroSDHC card, so I purchased this to use it in my PSP-2000. After formatting the card with my computer (the PSP is unable to format it,) and moving my file onto it, it worked fine in the PSP.
The only downside to this setup versus my 4GB Sony Pro-Duo card is the speed at which the card performs in the PSP. Copying files onto it is the same speed as the old card, but turning the unit on from standby, switching/loading menus, is a lot slower. It's livable, but annoying. Games loaded from the card seem to run fine still.
If you have a MicroSDHC card, for the price this is great, otherwise I would look for an actual Pro-Duo card if you are looking to use this in a PSP.
