Conrad Current description: iRock 6-in-1 MP3 Player is a portable digital audio player comes with a built-in MP3 encoder, it allows you to take an audio input (via the line-in jack) from a voice recorder, CDP or other audio devices, and save it as an MP3 file. You can listen to FM radio and record it at the same time.
Actually: It only plays MP3 or WMA files. It also DOES NOT have a line-in jack, and its recording capabilities are limited to the built in MIC and its FM Recording, both of which seem to work fine. The stored format is NOT, however, in an MP3 format, but in the Intel DVI ADPCM (IMA ADPCM) format which utilizes a 4-bit sample size and an 8 khz sample rate. That means that if you wanted to play it as a standard MP3/WMA file, it would first have to be converted. It is not recognized as an audio file in the main player folder. Other features seem to work fine.

By V. Kos This is the perfect size, however it really eats the batteries. I had to change it twice during my workday. 8 hours or less. I opted to buy something a little more planet friendly and Rechargeable. I am much happier.
