Please don't buy this!!!Mar 08, 2010
By D. smith Like everyone owning an iphone, I didn't want to pay the $20+ to replace the adapter I lost, big mistake. This thing simply doesn't work. I plug it in and it either buzzes off and on until I unplug it, or just once and doesn't ever charge. It is worthless, just like the company that sells it. You have been warned.

THIS IS A RECALLED USB POWER ADAPTERJun 01, 2009
By BJT UPON RECEIVING THIS ADAPTER I NOTICED THAT THE PRONGS ARE SQUARED ON THE ENDS NOT LIKE THE ONE SHOWN. APPLE SUPPLIED THIS WITH MY 3G WHEN I FIRST RECEIVED MY PHONE HOWEVER THEY RECALLED THIS STYLE AND REPLACED IT WITH ONE THAT IS SLIGHTLY TAPERED ON THE ENDS, SAYING THAT THE SQUARE PRONGS WAS NOT SAFE TO USE. THE PICTURE CLEARLY SHOWS THE NEW VERSION AND SO IT IS DECEPTIVE. NO WONDER THE PRICE WAS LESS THAN HALF THE CORRECT VERSION.

"Apple"
After using this for only a few days, one of the plug prongs broke off in the wall socket.

This Adapter burst into flames and fried my iPod!Nov 05, 2010
By floridian shopper I lost my original Apple Power adapter and ordered this product to replace it. I received the product in the mail, took it out of the package and plugged to my iPod Nano using an original Apple dock connector to USB cable. IMMEDIATELY IT BURST INTO FLAMES. My husband put out the flames within a few seconds. The metal brackets were stuck in the plug and the plastic housing came right off. We were later able to get them out by using pliers. The Apple dock connector to USB cable was also burned. And, when I plugged my iPod to confirm that no damage was done to it, it would not turn on. The carpet was also slightly burned. There is a black burn stain about the size of a 50 cent piece on it. I can only imagine what would have happened if I had not been around when this burst into flames. I am also glad I happened to plug the 16 Gig iPod Nano first and NOT my more expensive iPhone.
I contacted the retailer and although they promptly apologized for the "inconvenience with my order" and will issue a full refund, apparently they will not be responsible for the damaged cable OR the trashed iPod. They also said that their device was not the most probable cause of the fire, instead they tried to blame it on a power surge or short in the outlet, which is not true; you have only to take a look at the blackened adapter to know what the culprit is.
We had bought some adapters before through Amazon.com from a different company and never had a problem. Just don't get this product, since it is hazardous; the few bucks you are going to save are not worth jeopardizing the rest of your possessions.
UPDATE: The BlueHarborOnline representative I contacted has agreed to replace the damaged iPod. He explained that "it had nothing to do with the business" and that he would do so as a personal gesture. There is a possibility that this was a rare flaw in the product as we have purchased similar items from Amazon before and never had a single problem.

Not authentic AppleSep 14, 2010
By jp I do not think that this is, in fact, a genuine apple product. The writing on my product had a spelling mistake and if you looked closely, it did not say "Made by Apple" but "Made by Appie" (tough to tell the difference). The product worked intermittently only and was extremely frustrating. I had to get a true Apple replacement by calling Apple directly. Do not waste your time with this product.
