This case is secure, functional and attractive. It is well worth the discounted price.
Secure:
There is a elasticized band inside the top right corner of the cover, which secures the iPad inside the case when the cover is open. The band partially covers the power switch, but I don't find that it interferes with the use of the button.
Function:
1) Stand: The stand has multiple slots, but they do not provide a great deal of variation in viewing - more like adjusting the view to eliminate glare. The stand is secured to the closed case by means of a hidden magnet, which works for me.
2) Closure: The snap at the top right holds the cover closed. When open, one can bend the cover back behind the iPad and use the snap to hold the cover open.
3) Screen Access: the frame of the cover slightly overlaps the edge of the iPad's screen. So far, I've only found this to interfere when I attempt to move icons from one screen to another - I have to lift the cover so I can slide my finger off the side of the screen to get to the next page. Not a big deal to me.
Leather:
The cover appears to me to be bonded leather [...] - which may be offputting to some people who need the luxurious feel of leather (or who have paid full price). This cover feels more 'plasticky' (and therefore durable) than pure leather, but for the discounted price and for my needs, it is great.

love. this case...wasn't sure how I would be using my new iPad so waited avweek to order. it is perfect. fits the pad like a glove, is secure. all connections are available when it is in the case. it has a small inside pocket...perfect to hold a screen cleaner. the material...leather and color...red are perfect. and the stand built in is perfect for when it is on my desk,,,,highly recommend

This iPad cover is a great deal. I was a little worried because it was so inexpensive, but when it arrived, I was very happy with it. The red color is pretty, it is easy to slide in the iPad, and keep it safe inside with a snap on top. You can open it like a book, or stand it in landscape mode. If you want to take the iPad out, it is easy, just unsnap and slide it out. I usually keep it inside the cover all the time though. You can charge it through a little opening in the bottom that allows access to the charging plug. The cover is padded so feels very soft and protective. I highly recommend this cover.

Barickman I WAS VERY PLEASED WITH THE LOOK OF THE FRAME AND HOW THE IPAD FIT INTO IT UNTIL I DISCOVERED THAT THE FRAME ACTUALLY COVERED SOME OF THE SCREEN MAKING IT IMPOSSIBLE TO ACTIVATE SOME OF THE MENUS ON THE UNIT. THIS NOW SITS ON A SHELF UNUSED REPLACED BY APPLE'S MADE FOR IPAD COVER.

By Happygirl I am very pleased with this Ipad cover. I have the Apple Ipad cover that cost almost $50 bucks, it was slim but didn't offer enough padding. One complaint, when the case is unsnapped the Ipad may slip out; however, for the price I got more than I paid for. Looking forward to buying more products.
