Snaps on once; never snaps on again...Let me explainOct 05, 2010
By NoelG I initially purchased this item to cover the back, top and sides, it decently protects those areas, has great grip and is easy to find in "signal red" among a sea of black, grey and white iPad covers. In fact, the shell is so seamless that bystanders believed I had a red iPad.
Yet, despite these great attributes, be forewarned.
1) If you intend to snap-on this back cover and have no intentions of "ever" taking it off, it's a a little expensive for cheap, thin plastic. As a result of the cheap, thin plastic, the one time you intend to take it off, you will never be able to snap it back on because it cracks on the bottom as you remove it. I intended to remove it so that I could clean it and/or put the iPad in a folio case that had a tight fit.
2) This product will provide protection from scratches. Will not protect the iPad from drops or major bumps.
3) Mine did not come with a clear cover as advertised.

I got this to help to protect my iPad. The color is nice and vivid. It snaps on perfectly and allows all the right holes to plug in to charge, earphones, volume control, screen rotation, and power button. The bottom is also open to allow the spots down there.
It also came with a screen protector that went on very easily and works great as well. The instructions are easy to follow and it shipped fast. It's durable and snug enough that it still fits in the leather case so I can carry it easily. I love this and am happy that I only had to wait a few days to get it which was way faster than I expected. Totally worth the price!

By Barbara A. Shahan I'm very pleased with the Slim fit protective cover. Went on snuggly and sure keeps my iPad from feeling like it's going to slide away. I had a little problem with Screen Protector, bubbles. managed to clear most of them. MY suggestion would be an short note with some practical Tips on cleaning the screen and installing the Protector. Otherwise, I'm pleased. Bobbie S.

It snaps on with ease and does offer some limited protection to the sides and back of my iPad, but the product is advertised to also include a screen protector and that piece was not in the package I received. What I did receive is great, but it's not as advertised. Sounds like false advertising to me. They got my money but didn't deliver what they advertized. Will I order more through this site? Not anytime soon! Amazon - pay attention! Is this the way you want to be represented?

By Hammee I wanted a slim case to protect my iPad from scratches and minor dings and this works quite well. The red color is exactly as advertised and is gorgeous. The material is slightly rubberized keeping it from slipping when you put it on angled surfaces and the matte finish gives it a little bit of sophistication (I generally think that shiny plastics tend to cheapen the appearance of an item). I'll echo others' comments by stating that one of the things that really appealed to me about this case is that there aren't any logos or brands stamped on it.
The case itself is really easy to snap into place - I made sure to be gentle when I eased it over my iPad. My only complaint would be that the screen protector is actually a little tacky so your fingertip catches on it, enough so that it interferes with the ease of using the iPad - I'll be replacing it. Otherwise, the screen protector does cut down on glare and I didn't notice any "rainbow" effect, gridding, or reduction in sharpness that you often see people complain about with screen protectors.
As for applying the screen protector, that actually went well enough. Quite frankly, any screen protector of this design is going to be challenging to apply perfectly and the challenge increases significantly with the larger surface area on the iPad. It takes some dexterity, some patience, and there is a learning curve so don't be surprised if your first attempt or two leave you with a less-than-desirable outcome. Even having a few of these applications under your belt, the chances of you getting it perfectly aren't great and if perfection is the only thing you can live with, you will go mad with this kind of protector - invest the money in a different style if that is the case. With the iPad, I pre-aligned the protector to get an idea of what the best way to apply it would be, cleaned my work surface, washed my hands, cleaned off the glass thoroughly with a slightly moistened paper towel, and finished buffing with a dry lint-free wipe. Given the unwieldy size, I peeled back the first cellophane layer halfway then folded it back so that I could maintain a firm grip on the protector (in other words, I didn't peel it completely off which would then restrict me to handling it by the edges to avoid putting fingerprints on the surface). Once I got the first inch in place, I just slowly flattened it out with a credit card and gradually rolled the cellophane layer back as I progressed. A couple of tiny pieces of lint made their way underneath but I find that perfectly acceptable.
