Best flash drive I've ownedApr 05, 2010 I own many flash drives, from the early 256 mb to this Kingmax 8 gb. I store it in the small rubbery case it came with and throw it into a compartment in my purse. I've used this for several years now and will soon purchase a Kingmax 16 gb. It always works. Easy to carry. During use, I leave the rubber case on whichever keyboard I am using at work, home or on the road, as a reminder to eject it and take it with me. Best flash drive I've owned: better than well-known brands that are bundled with U3 technology (which I find useless). All in all, convenient, hard working, rugged, small, great capacity, reasonably priced. If I were to change brands, I would prefer to get flash memory with encryption and password capability.
It goes in my walletMar 12, 2010 I have owned and lost countless usb drives. The only one I have had for longer than a few months was a SONY micro vault tiny that was replaced with this one. The trick is being able to keep in in my wallet rather than my pocket where it is subject to falling out when I recline or being washed. I had the Sony for years until my 2yo found it in the computer and gave it a chomp. This one is slightly smaller has twice the capacity and cost ~1/3. I also find the construction to be somewhat more robust. It seems to be all kind of molded/glued together rather than the Sonys more snap together design. I've had the Kingmax for about a month now and I would buy one again in a hart beat.
Nice size... and price!Feb 02, 2010 I've purchased two of these drives in the past few years. They are almost indestructible, mine have been through the wash on a couple of occasions. I used to have a key-ring sized Cruzer but since this fits in my wallet, I no longer have the extra bulk on my key-ring. Overall, these have been a great deal.
Awesome USB memory device!Oct 03, 2009 This thing is tiny and sturdy. I didn't use the cover that came with it (still don't) and it went through the washing machine and still works great. The only thing is that the transfer speeds are kin of slow. I would definitely recommend it though.
wears down too easyJul 25, 2009 this product came with no case, (I don't consider that weird pink gummy bear a case) at first I was like "no biggie" and just went with it, it worked great for a while, then I noticed it started to bend when putting it in machines, sides of it are starting to flake off, and the exposed board on the bottom still gets me antsy. it now sits at my desk, still working, but barely. My friend also bought two, the first he kept on his keyring like me, but one day when he put it in a machine it just all of a sudden ripped open, and he lost all the data on the drive. DO NOT CARRY THIS ON YOUR KEYRING!
