Class 6 SDHC card - works for digital cameras!!Jan 03, 2010 I bought this recently from a store while on travel because I maxed out my 2GB SD card while taking photos. I thought 593 photos was enough, but I needed more. This SanDisk 8GB SDHC card, although marketed as a "Video HD" card, it is fully compatible with digital cameras that use SD/SDHC cards. In addition, it is a CLASS 6 SDHC card, not Class 4 as stated in Amazon. On my 7MP Canon Powershot A570IS, the 8GB can hold over 2300 photos at max resolution.
The blisterpack opens up to reveal the SDHC card and a plastic case. I bought the card in a bind because I needed the card ASAP and didn't have time to research the best price, but I was amazed to find out later on that the store actually sold it at a lower price than Amazon. You can't beat the value of this card unless you settle for a no-name brand or a lesser brand.
Pros: Works fine in my digital camera, very fast, comes with a decent SD card case, great bang for the buck (Class 6)
Cons: It's not marketed very clearly as being designed for all SDHC applications. I asked one of the workers at the store and she said it *should* work but she wasn't 100% sure. The funnier part is that this Class 6 "Video HD" SDHC card was less expensive than the Class 4 and Class 6 regular SDHC cards!
Using ATTO's disk benchmark, the SanDisk was able to sustain write speeds of 7.45-10 MB/s while its read speeds were all around 10-11 MB/s.
Overall: 5/5 stars!

Perfect match for Canon Vixia HF100Aug 03, 2009 I bought four of these last year for my Canon Vixia HF100. So far we've used two of them and they work perfectly. They are more expensive than other brands, but usually you get what you pay for with Sandisk. As a side-note, I always use the HF100's highest quality setting, FXP, which is 17Mbps (MegaBITS per second) AVCHD, and the VideoHD cards are class 4 (4.0MB/s x 8 = 32Mbps), which is more than enough for he Vixia's max throughput.

Does not work on any card reader...Aug 02, 2009 I bought this card for my Canon PowerShot G10 which works fine for taking pictures... but the only way I can get the pictures off the SD card is through the camera. If you plug it into a card reader, it won't recognize it. I have tried it on several card readers and it just does not work. I give this 2 stars as it only works through my camera.
Good Product. Even Better Price!Jun 09, 2009 I use this for my flash HD camcorder. For the first 3GB the card ran super smooth and quick. However, as I continued to fill it up (totally 5.5 GB by the end of my trip) the run speed continued to decrease. It's not that big of a deal and I still got on the footage I wanted. Offload speed is great and I really can't complain. Good product at a great price.
