The strip to use as the stand is confusing, hasn't worked amazingly yet, but still works!! The smell reminds me of new shoes, from payless... not leather. everything fits together in a lovely stylish wallet case! Love it!

By J. C. Roth Given the low price of this the expectation wasn't extremely high plus the other reviews set the bar low. This is actually a pretty decent item. You really do have to give it time to air out once it arrives as the chemical smell is strong, but knowing that going in is helpful. It takes about two days for the smell to become tolerable and after week it is usable without fear of smelling up the cash register when paying for things. If you have patience, just set it out in a well ventilated, dry spot and let it finish curing, such as the garage.
Functionally this is what I expected. It holds the phone well enough that I am not concerned of it falling out as many other cheap phone wallets do. The strap on it is to be used as a stand, but really doesn't offer much so I took it off. But this has two snaps exposed on the back without purpose (small ding there).
It will not hold much, so keep that in mind if you are looking at it. I usually have a small, no-fold, front pocket wallet when I tried this as an alternative, it actually holds less than my old wallet. I keep two forms of ID, one credit card, and no more than 5 bills of money in the wallet. That is because that is all it will support and still close (second ding). I would have liked to have one debit card and one credit card, but the holder seems too stressed for that to work. Holding money is an art in this thing as you have to tri-fold the bills to fit them behind the ID holding area. Alternatively you could have a money clip in anothe pocket and avoid this issue.
Overall I am not unhappy with this and use it daily still. That plus the really affordable price bumped this up to a 4 star review.

By TPS When I got this item, it came in a sealed plastic bag. It stank for about a week after i took it out. At one point I had to take it out of my pocket because the smell was so bad.
It does fit my iPhone 4s perfectly. It allows you to take and make calls without removing it, although it is easy to get out if you need to. The credit card slots allow you to hold some cards/id, although I wouldn't recommend more than 2 in each slot (there are 2 slots). The cover does not latch, but I keep my phone in my pocket most of the time so it doesn't matter.
